Researcher Julia Nueno studies how the Israeli military uses artificial intelligence to systematize destruction and population control in Gaza.
Through the Forensic Architecture project, she analyzes algorithms that continuously generate military targets, making prolonged warfare and attacks on key infrastructure possible.
Nueno argues that these systems automate violence, treat civilians as statistical threats, and turn Gaza into a testing ground for surveillance and repression technologies that are later exported to other regions.
Her research aims to use these tools to uncover the truth and provide evidence for bringing allegations of war crimes before international organizations.
